Playing at the park!

Today we took Blake to the park by our house because it was such a nice day. The walk also helped Eric's sore back just a little bit. Blake loved sliding and wanted to try and eat the bark. He is such a fun little guy.

In a last ditch effort to get Blake liking cake before his party I bought him a mini cupcake at Starbucks to see if I could break him in. It took him a little warming up to the idea but by the time we were done he was an old cupcake pro. He even cried when I took it away. Hopefully he will have fun on his birthday and not be afraid of the cake!

A day at toddler gym!

Today Eric was able to take the day off and join us at Toddler Gym. I was excited because he rarely gets to take Fridays off and I just knew he would have a lot of fun playing with Blake. Plus after being sick and cooped up in the house for the past week I it was good for him to get out. He is finally feeling a lot better!

My Baby Boy is turning 1!!!

I can't believe that in two weeks my little baby is going to be 1 year old! I don't know where the time went. I took him to get his 1 year pictures at Penny's and he would much rather be playing. It was pretty tough getting him to sit still but the photographer worked well with him. He is becoming quite the little character. I am getting so excited for his birthday party. He will be wearing the cute little shirt with the 1 and the monkey on it at his party. I got the iron on transfer made from an awesome lady Kim. She also made Blake's birthday invitations and they both turned out amazing.

These next pictures did not go the way I had envisioned. So it turns out that Blake is terribly afraid of cake. I went to the Pioneer bakery in Puyallup and had them make this cake special for his pictures (that goodness it was only $7.00). I was so excited because I had seen so many "smash cake" pictures and thought Blake would have so much fun. That was not the case as soon as he touched the frosting he freaked out; he cried in fear. It really broke my heart to see him so afraid. I am not sure if it was the texture or what but he was not liking it at all. After he had calmed down I tried to show him the cake and he was even scared of just looking at it. I hope he gets over his fear quickly because his party is coming soon. Even with him being afraid the photographer got some pretty cute shots.

Cabelas!

Today we decided to head down to the new Cabelas to check it out. It was pretty cool there was a lot of things to look at. Blake liked checking out all of the fish the most. And it was a pretty succesful trip Eric finally found some gloves that will be good for when he works.

Blake and Daddy's favorite team played today; they didn't win but Blake is still a fan no matter what :). A couple people (Uncle Garrett, and Aaron) tried to switch Blake to like other teams this Christmas, but we are a strictly Vikings household. Blake wasn't much into the game, there are so many more fun things to do. His new favorite thing is to hide behind the curtains and look out the window. When I come up he likes to play peek a boo with the curtains. He is so stinking cute! It is just so much fun to watch him grow and discover the world around him, even though he is becoming a bit mischievous these days!
